6 National Champions!

The Australian National Jiu Jitsu Championship was held in Melbourne over the weekend and saw some outstanding jiujitsu and results along with some unlucky injuries.

Our juniors did an amazing job with CJ, Lily, Chase, Tyler, Eve and Manni all winning gold and becoming National Champions!

Andy had some big tough matches and fought with heart but didn’t place. 

Mel had some great matches resulting in 2 Silver medals in the Gi (Weight Division and Absolute Division).  She did an outstanding job taking out Silver in her No Gi Weight Division.

Coach Ethan sustained an ankle injury losing in the first round and was unfortunately unable to continue.  We wish him a speedy recovery.

We look forward to the FNQ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships in 3 and half weeks time at Redlynch Sports Stadium on the 14th September.
