The past weekend saw our team from Cairns and Innisfail travel down to Melbourne to compete in the Pan Pacific Jiu-Jitsu 2019 IBJJF Championship.

A fun time was had by all and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort and performance of every single person. Competing is an excellent way to develop a winning attitude and also accelerate learning. No one comes away from a competition with nothing to work on! Congratulations to the following members on their Gi results:

* Garrett – Bronze

No Gi results saw Todd come away with silver, Kyle with double gold (division and open weight) and Garrett with bronze.

We look forward to taking an even bigger team next year – the comaraderie built is wonderful and just one of the many perks of going away to compete.
